How to Manifest Leaving the Country Alone

Have you ever wanted to travel to another country but you’ve felt too afraid to do it by yourself? It’s understandable to be a bit leery when traveling on your own but there’s no need to fear! If you’re considering taking the big leap, then you’ve already crossed the first step to gaining that tenacity!

Here are some tips on what you should know in order to leave the country confident and ready to explore.

It First Starts With Mindset

When gaining confidence to do anything, it all starts with the mindset. Choosing the country to live in can also feel like it’s a challenge in it’self but praying about the right place to go and exploring the desire in your heart is a start. God will bless what is a part of His will and this isn’t something to discourage you from traveling. This world is the creation that He wants you to explore and you want to go where you will thrive. Praying about the right direction is always a great step and He will show you the signs that will point you where you need to go.

Once you have the country in place you may start to feel uncomfortable with the idea of being somewhere alone. Sometimes it feels like everyone is staring at you while you are alone.

A key tip is to avoid comparing yourself to others. As an exercise, pretend that you’re the only one around and notice the changes in your behavior. Everyone has their own interpretation of life and existence and if you shed the opinions of how others perceive you, this will enhance your confidence to navigate more places alone.

Practicing to leave the country

Learning a new language (something I am also practicing) can start with memorizing a few words. Use sticky notes or constant reminders. You can even change your phone to the language you want to learn. Practice makes perfect. International travel can seem daunting, but this will help you gain confidence.

While you are still in your home town, practice going to different places alone. Manifestation kicks in when you can look around and see the country of your dreams rather than the everyday cafe you’ve been coming to for the last two years. See every outing as if you are in that country. Look at what is around you and try to say what you are looking at in the language of that country. This is romanticizing the moment and placing yourself in the position of solo travel.

Follow Vloggers Who Live in Your Dream Country

Bloggers can often tell you the secrets of how they were able to move to that country. They can give you programs that you have never heard of or thought to research. Following bloggers also helps with the excitement of moving, and knowing that it’s possible to take the leap just like they did.

A vlogger I like to follow is the Purple Palace on YouTube. When I first thought about moving to France, I decided to look up a lot of bloggers who have already accomplished what I wanted to do. My favorite thing about this YouTuber is that she is so authentic with her experiences. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything about her life which makes me feel like I can trust her advice. When you find someone you can also relate to, you feel like you are not alone in what may seem like a crazy idea.

Acquaint yourself with the laws of the country

The biggest culture shock can be the laws that are in place. It is a good idea to research the common laws of the country you are looking to travel to. For instance, in certain countries, it is illegal to spit on the ground. Make sure you are well-rounded with the customs of the restaurant. Depending on the Visa you decide to go for, you may have to obtain traveler’s insurance for your move. You can find the country’s rules for immigration on the visa website associated with that country. Be sure to check your passport to see if you qualify to travel and for how long you are able to travel. If you have any questions or don’t know where to start, email the embassy and they will point you in the right direction.

Visualize a Day in The Country

Faith is putting believing that what you are believing is already happening. Here are some prompts that can help you describe a day in the country of your choice. You can keep a daily or weekly log of how you see your day happening in the country of your dreams. This process will get you comfortable with the idea of being on your own and bring excitement.

Journal prompts:

What did you do today in the new country?

What did you eat this morning for breakfast?

When you opened the windows, what was the view like?

What did you smell?

Where did you go for lunch? (you can look up a restaurant you want to visit when you go)

What do you hear outside? Birds? People Chattering? Cars?

It’s important to be as specific as possible with each sensation because when you do end up going to this country of your choice, you will appreciate the delicate details you took the time to write about.
