I Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything Anymore
You take a look around one day and you realize that you don’t feel like doing anything at all. Life seems to be moving without you and you have no idea how to hop on the train that will get you where you want to go. Your room is a mess. You haven’t created any art. You’ve been wearing the same hoodie for the past three days and you just can’t find the motivation to do anything. Don’t worry. This feeling is completely normal and better yet, there is a way to break the cycle! These tips will surely help you get motivated again.
Get Out of the House
Finding a space that makes you feel more productive can help you tremendously. It is important to change things in your routine if you are starting to feel less motivated. For me, I always head over to a cafe when I begin to feel like blogging has taken a bit of a drag. I will be quite honest, consistency is all in your mind. If you keep looking at the same desk in the corner of your room or maybe your desk at work is beginning to look more like a black hole, switch it up. There are plenty of places to do the things you love. You can take a blanket and go to the park or even take your work over to a lovely flowing river.
Clean Up Your Diet
Cut down on some of the sugars and carbs and drink more water. It seems like a simple task but when You change up your diet, you tend to think clearer and feel like you are able to have more energy. Eating something hearty and filling in the morning like oatmeal and apples can make a major difference in how you interact with the rest of your day. Drinking water allows you to feel more alert and glowing skin is just and added bonus.
Find Your Inspiration!
Having someone you can relate to and look up to helps you with your own life. Now when you are looking up to someone there are a few things to remember. Never compare yourself to them! You are a unique individual with your own thoughts and life and experiences. The way you execute your work can be very different from the way someone else executes theirs however, having that motivation and inspiration allows you to know that your dreams, work habits, routine change, and destination are possible.
Take Away Trail
Sometimes when we get into those feelings of not wanting to do anything, we completely shut down. Whenever you find yourself in this feeling, know that it is not the end of the world and it is never too late to start. You just have to push yourself a bit and it doesn’t always have to be uncomfortable. If you start slow, it will build into a routine. It will build into a love for whatever you are doing, but every feeling is valid. Acknowledge it, thank it for teaching you something about yourself, and learn to work with it.
