5 Things You're Doing WRONG When it Comes to Manifestation

There are a lot of ways to manifest, but there are also wrong ways to manifest. This post is to guide you so that you don’t make these common mistakes that can delay your manifestation or attract something to you that may not be the best thing.

This blog post will be about five things you’re doing wrong when it comes to manifestation:

  • Taking All the Credit

  • Constant Complaints

  • Timing Tantrums

  • Listening too Much to Others

  • Ignoring the Red Lights

The Basics of Manifestation

To Manifest, by Merriam-Webster definition, is to make evident or certain by showing or displaying. It is important to realize that in this form of manifestation, you are dealing with the spiritual. If you don't have a connection to God or have issues believing past the physical realm, then you are blind to the source from which you are manifesting. The underlying anchor of manifestation is faith being transformed into the physical realm and if there is no faith, then there is nothing to produce. You can manifest whatever you want, yet there is a cost and a source that you are pulling from whether you realize it or not. In my journey with manifestation, I have realized there are very interesting methods that may have promising results, but the source and practices aren’t Godly. I advise you even when chasing your dreams and desires, to develop a personal relationship with God.

Taking all the Credit

We do not achieve anything on our own, no matter how hard life feels and how alone we may seem. Someone has given birth to you and taught you how to speak and walk. Even in our breaths, we cannot just say our existence is solely the work of our very own hands. God has given you this day to experience and enjoy. Manifesting something of your heart's desire isn't that of your own works, but you aligning yourself with God and His plan for you. If you spend time in prayer and meditation, you can know if you are praying the will of God for it is much easier to manifest when you are already praying God’s will. When reading about manifesting and mindfulness, an important key to attraction is gratitude. Why is it important to show gratitude when manifesting? You must give the credit to God, and release the ego that you, alone, can create such a magnitude of blessings and conscious lessons. There is nothing and no one as divine as God, and to take all credit is a huge mistake in such a process.

Constant Complaints

We are always being heard. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, which is why complaining about life can deter us from what we are attracting. When we are complaining, we are actually showing God that we are not grateful for the things that we are currently in possession of. It doesn't mean that we don't have bad days or are not allowed to show dissatisfaction in our day-to-day life, but In experiencing hardships or even annoyance, we must bring ourselves to awareness of our contribution to our mindfulness.

A great tip to minimize complaining is to choose a time to complain each day. Maybe start by picking 4 solid times throughout the day. When you find yourself about to complain about something, save it for that specific time to get all the complaints off your chest. You'll find that you may have forgotten some of the things you were going to complain about, to begin with. Everything takes practice.

Timing Tantrums

We live in a society where we are able to receive things instantly. We can order food at the press of a button and receive instant gratification for many things that would have taken a lot of time in the past. This societal change has affected our patience for many things, including our spiritual well-being. Wanting to receive spiritual gifts from God without putting in any of the work is one of the results of this societal influence. When a manifestation seems like it's taking longer than what we may have hoped for, we must bring awareness to the process. Who is the version of you that has received that manifestation? Has that version of you been realized? Are you in alignment with your manifestation? While you have been waiting, what are some lessons that you have learned in the process?

If we are unable to take the time to appreciate the process of God's timing, we fail to learn the lessons that were meant for us to learn, ergo, prolonging the manifestation process even further.

Listening TOO Much to Others

We need counsel and advice from our friends and mentors in order to help us make certain decisions. It's important to consider how something may positively or negatively affect us and our peers are wonderful for that sort of support however, we cannot let the opinions of others overshadow our thoughts.

I used to constantly look for validation because I didn't trust the thoughts in my head. It meant I had to hold myself accountable for the outcome of my decisions which was a bit difficult for me to process. When manifesting your heart’s desire, you must remember that this is your desire you are focused on and no one else's. You can't hold anyone else responsible for your happiness and well-being because you are the person in control of your own life. When you are letting the opinions of others dictate the direction of your manifestation, it begins to feel more like an obligation to be fulfilled rather than a dream realized.

Get a close friend or relative to confide in while you are in this process. Sometimes we get really excited to share the process when things are happening, but everyone has their own opinion of how things should go. It’s best to keep your process limited to one or two close people and if you are not sure who the right person is to trust, then pray God will reveal who you can trust, or better yet, send a destiny helper to guide you.

Ignoring the Red Lights

This mistake can be a bit difficult to process for many people. Sometimes the things that we want are not always good or beneficial for us, even though we feel it in our hearts at the time. The last mistake most commonly made when manifesting is ignoring the red lights. God has plans to prosper each one of us and help us in our lives. Even when we feel like everything is crumbling around us, the connection to God helps us realize we are making the correct decision. Sometimes, we may want something that God has not sanctioned for us. A good example is the process of manifesting a significant other. We may be praying and raising our vibrations, doing the journaling and the inner work to attract this desire when ignoring all the red lights along the way that are saying this is not meant for us. The way to avoid this mistake is to ask God to show you the signs this is meant for you. Pay attention to how things come together for your manifestation because once the desire has been realized, the retrospect is usually lessons learned to create a better person in the end.

Take Away Trail

The Bible says that we are given the authority to tell a mountain to throw itself into the sea if we have faith as small as a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20-21). Each of us needs to understand the importance mindfulness plays in this practice because, without it, we are unknowingly delaying our very own blessings. These tips will help when attracting your desires and help you in your relationship with God and stepping out on faith without making grave mistakes.
